SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
LITSNACK is an in-between meal treat for people who want a little taste of literature without ruining their dinner. Please send your short poetry (1-35 lines) and Micro/Flash fiction (50-1000 words) to [email protected]. Due to the volume of submissions, I will be unable to respond to inquires about when pieces will appear. Thank you in advance for your patience. Comments on literature must be positive or at least constructive. Should your work be accepted and published you will receive our undying gratitude, respect, admiration but, sadly, no other compensation whatsoever. Beginning with pieces accepted after November 19, 2010, stories and poems will be published with by-lines, but without biographical notes. Thank you for understanding how this will aid in the philosophy of brevity we employ here at The 'SNACK. Trust me: people who like your stuff will Google you to find out who you are.
ART: We also publish pen and ink drawings, sketches, photographs (color or black and white), paintings, or whatever other artwork touches us*. Send your artwork to the e-mail address listed above, and we will publish what moves us.**

LITSNACK PROUDLY INTRODUCES: THE SNACKIES!
Every six months or so--or whenever the hell I get around to it--I have decided to bestow an award upon what I (as court jester and head dishwasher here at LITSNACK) have determined to be the best story and poem in the preceding time period.
The name of this completely non-prestigious recognition will be THE SNACKIES and, in addition to my deeply personal adulation, will consist of a token $5 gift card to the neighborhood Starbucks Coffeehouse*. In other words, the best fiction writers and poets in our pages will enjoy a Venti Decaf on LITSNACK.
Look for updates every half year or so.
* I will contact winners and ask for an address to which I can send said gift card.
